Piqua WWTP was a $40.3 million expansion which completed ahead of schedule in December 2021. The scope of work included a large headworks facility with submersible pumps, screening, grit removal, (2) oxidation ditches, (3) 120-ft final clarifiers, RAS/WAS pump station, UV disinfection, splitter boxes, sludge dewatering building with centrifuge/conveyors, and considerable rework of existing process tankage into sludge holding and aerobic digesters. The new facility is rated for an ADF of 5.1 MGD and a PHF of 21.5 MGD.
