Marysville WTP

PCC was low bidder on this traditional design-bid-build project in May 2020. PCC was nearly $7 million lower than the second place bidder and nearly $10 million below the Engineer’s estimate. Since the project was so far below the City’s budget, they elected to add nearly $3.5 million in additional scope to the project including an additional clarifier, additional filter, and numerous other items. Scope of the project included a new 7.5 MGD WTP on a greenfield site including a new administration and process building. Major equipment included surface water pretreatment basins, groundwater aeration, chemical feed systems, lime/soda ash storage and feed equipment, solids contact clarifiers, lime sludge pump station, recarbonation and ozone basins, ozone generation, a pressurized solution feed (PSF) carbon dioxide feed system, gravity filters, two 1.0 MG buried clearwells, high service pumps, backwash settling and recycle tanks, submersible pump station, earthen lime lagoons, and site utilities.
